San Diego Cares blood drive

December 7, 2017

San Diego Community College District

The San Diego Blood Bank will hold the “San Diego Cares: It’s in our Blood” event  Dec. 16 to meet the region’s critical need for blood during the holidays. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Town and Country Convention Center.

The San Diego Community College District is a proud sponsor of San Diego Cares. This family-friendly event will include live entertainment, interactive sports-themed activities, special appearances by local sports teams and celebrities, and drawing to win a new Honda CR-V.

Of course, the most important reason to participate is to support the San Diego Blood Bank, an independent nonprofit that serves hospitals in San Diego, Orange, Imperial, and Los Angeles counties with blood transfusion products and reference laboratory services. Each pint of blood donated can save up to three lives.
