The San Diego Community College District has selected recipients for its sixth annual Contractor Recognition Program, honoring two firms for their exemplary performance as small or historically underutilized firms in construction or professional services, and a business management firm for best practices in engaging small, minority, woman-owned, disabled veteran-owned, or disadvantaged businesses.
SDCCD Vice Chancellor for Facilities Management Chris Manis presented recognition plaques to the following recipients during a ceremony on July 20, 2017.
- Shadpour Consulting Engineers/SC Engineers, Inc. (Based in Rancho Bernardo) - Recognition Award for Exemplary Performance by a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) in Professional Services.
- Winstead & Company (Based in Hillcrest) - Recognition Award for Exemplary Performance by a State Minority Business Enterprise (SMBE) and a State Women Business Enterprise (SWBE) in Professional Services.
- San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center (Based at Southwestern Community College
in Chula Vista) – Recognition Award for Exemplary Small Business Outreach & Engagement
