A number of
districtwide operations are centralized for efficiency, allowing
the campuses to concentrate on instruction and student-oriented
activities. Among the functions housed at the district's Charles
W. Patrick headquarters in Mission Valley are employment, payroll,
benefits, purchasing, general accounting and budget, architect,
maintenance, student records, telecommunications, computer systems,
college catalogs and class schedules.
Centralized but located elsewhere are the college police, inventory,
warehouse and parking services.
