P-51 Mustang heads to WWII museum

The reconstructed "Bunnie, Miss Kentucky State" P-51D Mustang, and Tuskegee Airmen were celebrated at a rollout ceremony held at Allen Airways Flying Museum at Gillespie Field on April 9. Interns from San Diego Miramar College worked with Flyboys Aeroworks in El Cajon to restore the single-seat fighter/bomber. 

The plane will be put on display at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.
