Overcoming the financial challenge

Students in the San Diego Community College District have access to the most affordable, high-quality higher education in the nation, but earning a degree or certificate remains a steep financial challenge for far too many. In fact, most college students who have left college without a degree say financial reasons are a key cause.

The San Diego Promise addresses these barriers by covering the cost of tuition and providing textbook grants, allowing student to concentrate on their education, reach their professional and educational goals, and join the workforce with excellent, marketable skills.

How to Support the Promise

The San Diego Promise transforms lives. However, the SDCCD cannot achieve this transformation alone. We need your partnership to change lives and enrich the entire San Diego community.

Currently, the San Diego Promise serves more than 3,000 of the District’s 100,000 students. Every donation to the San Diego Promise allows more students to take advantage of this life-changing program.
