What is Plagiarism Checker?

PlagiarismCheck is a plagiarism detection tool built directly into Canvas. When you enable it on an assignment, every student submission is automatically checked against live internet sources, your institution's submission database, and each student's own prior work. Similarity results appear in SpeedGrader alongside the submission, so you can review them as part of your normal grading.

Who Can use it?

Instructors and faculty can leverage Plagiarism Checker in their online classes to promote original work and provide formative feedback. By requiring students to submit their assignments through Plagiarism Checker, instructors can easily monitor the authenticity of student work and address issues of academic dishonesty promptly. The reports generated by Plagiarism Checker help educators guide students in proper citation practices and reinforce the importance of original research.
