Project Progress Update
Upcoming Milestones:
- Schematic Design: November 3, 2025
- Bid and award period: January 1, 2026 through March 31, 2026.
- OBR Architecture proceeding with 60% Design Development with a tentative plan submission date of February 6, 2026
- OBR Architecture to issue the 90% CD/Bid Set. Bid and award period is now expected to occur from March 2026 through May 2026.
- 90% CD set has been delayed to accommodate new District requirements.
- 90% CDs are under review, with the inclusion of the stainless steel grille specifications.
- Pre-bid job walk conference scheduled on June 26, 2026
Project Features
- San Diego Community College District plans to replace four (4) overhead gates at parking structures on the Harbor View Campus
- Scope of work includes replacement and/or addition of access components, such as:
- Keypads
- Key operators
- Automatic gate loops (at select gates)
- All gates are assumed to be replaced in kind
- Existing structural supports are in good condition and do not require replacement
- The District has elected not to submit this project to the Division of the State Architect (DSA)
