Project Progress Update
Upcoming Milestones:
- 24 Hour – Elevator intermittent shutdown for engineering appraisal for shop drawing scheduled: December 19, 2025
- Construction completion anticipated early-mid October 2026.
- 24-Hour Elevator completed the shop drawings January 15, 2026.
- Construction scheduled to begin June 1, 2026. Anticipated project finish in early November 2026.
Project Features
- Replace the existing elevator controller with a new nonproprietary microprocessor controller
- Install new CEDES Gatekeeper infrared door detector.
- Install new hall door equipment on each landing
- Install a new seismic sensor and counterweight derailment system
- Install new roller style final limits at the top and bottom landing
- Install a new terminal limit switch assembly on the cartop
- Install a new stop switch in the pit
- Install new multi-wire travel cable from car to controller, and new wiring to the hoist way devices
- Add 120 VAC lighting disconnect for elevator cab lighting circuits
- Clean and lubricate all retained rotating equipment
- Clean and paint machine room floor
- Perform state inspection
