The San Diego Community College District's Compensation Office provides and manages salary information for faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and working retirees. In addition, the Compensation Office oversees and manages various programs that impact an employees' pay. Salary Information

Educational Incentive - (Classified Professional, ACE, SPAA, POA & Management)

  • Educational Incentive Program Form:
    • Every approved 12 semester/ 18 quarter units earned with a grade "C" or higher, at an accredited institution can be granted one-step movement on your perspective current salary schedule.
    • Units must be enrolled and earned subsequent to your contract start date.
    • Send completed form and Official transcripts directly to [email protected] 
  • Management ONLY - In additional to the Educational Incentive Program,
  • Tuition Reimbursement Form: upon satisfactory completion (grade of “C” or above) of a course from an accredited institution, a unit member shall be reimbursed for tuition, registration fees (including fees for official transcripts), books, and laboratory fees. The total amount reimbursed shall not exceed maximum amount that is listed within the corresponding CBA or Handbook. Send completed form to [email protected].
    • SPAA - Supervisory & Professional Administrators' Association employees are not eligible for tuition reimbursement at this time. 

Professional Development Activities - (Classified Professionals & Management)

  • Classified Professionals
    • Send all documents to AFT for review
      • Proposal of Professional Development Activities
        • Before activity commences
      • Completion of Professional Development Activities
        • After activity has concluded
        • Must submit supporting documents

Faculty (Adjunct and Tenured/Tenure-Track)

Professional Advancement Committee (PAC): For every approved 15 semester units following the faculty CBA, grants class one class movement on the current faculty salary schedule.

    • For courses, units must be enrolled and earned subsequent to your contract start date.
    • Please refer to your campus Professional Advancement committee for timeline, processes, and questions regarding the salary advancement program:
