Understanding the difference methods of Credit for Prior Learning:

Below is the methods that you may earn credit through Credit for Prior Learning. For more information please contact a counselor.

Method	Type	Description
Standarized Examinations	Advanced Placement (AP) Exam International Baccalaureate (IB) Exam College Level Examination Program (CLEP) DANTES Subject Standardization Test (DANTES/DSST)	Students who receive a satisfactory score on any of these tests may be eligible to receive credit.
Credit by Examination	Credit by Examination	Satisfactory completion of an institutional examination, administered by the college in lieu of completion of an active course listed in the current college catalog;
Military Transcripts	Evaluation of military transcripts as recommended by ACE standards.
Industry Recognized Credentials	Industry required credentials demonstrating mastery of the course outline. (e.g. Aviation license).
Student-Created Portfolios	A collection of work, awards, experience or other documented items to demonstrate competency in the chosen course.
