District communications earns 4 awards for PR and marketing work

The San Diego Community College District Communications and Public Relations earned four Pro Awards from the Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) of California. The awards were presented on April 13 in Los Angeles during the annual CCPRO conference.

The SDCCD team won a gold award in the notecard/invitation category for a special thank you mailer for San Diego Promise donors. Additionally, the team earned a silver and bronze award in the video profile category and a silver award for its With Excellence (WE) magazine.

“I am incredibly proud of the work our team does every day in support of the District and its colleges,” said Jack Beresford, SDCCD director of Communications and Public Relations. “We have some amazingly talented professionals who are helping the District better engage with students and the broader San Diego community.”

The Pro Awards recognize the best of the best at California’s 117 community colleges, which collectively form the largest system of public higher education in the United States.

CCPRO is a professional development and service organization that seeks to promote excellence in California’s community college public relations and related professions. The organization serves as a central resource of information and provides counsel and assistance relating to the advancement of community colleges statewide and the professional growth of its members.
