Students can choose from thousands of classes in more than 400 academic programs with flexible hours from short-term, late start, Saturday and online course options. College of Continuing Education offers hundreds of free career training classes, English as a Second Language (ESL), citizenship classes, High School Diploma and GED, and more.
Courses are just $46 per unit at SDCCD and other California community colleges, offering the most affordable way to achieve a college education in the nation. Financial aid and scholarships are also available to help pay for tuition, enrollment fees, and materials for qualified students. SDCCD’s free tuition program, the San Diego Promise, is now accepting applications for Fall 2026. The Promise covers up to two years of tuition, health fees, and book grants for eligible students.
