2016 Spring Literary Series at City College

San Diego City College will host its 2016 Literary Series and Book Fair through March, April and May. Events will spotlight authors and the importance of literacy.

Events are as scheduled:

March 2 - 12:45 p.m.

A discussion with Keith McCleary, educator and author of graphic novel "Top of the Heap," comics compilation "Killing Tree Quarterly," and author of prose, poetry, and digital media. The free event will be held in V-101 and is open to the public.

March 24 - 6:30 p.m.

VAMP-Face the Music: Highly-produced, deeply personal Visual/Audio Monologue Performances by San Diego City College students at the Saville Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.

April 14 - 11 a.m.

A reading, discussion, and signing with Luivette Resto, educator and author of poetry collections "Ascension" and "Unfinished Portrait" in Room MS162. The event is free and open to the public.

May 5 - 11:10 a.m.

Readings from Sunshine/Noir II: Writing from San Diego and Tijuana, the latest anthology from City Works Press, compiled by San Diego City College faculty. Featured authors include Francisco J. Bustos and Michael Cheno Wickert. The reading will be held in MS162, is free and open to the public.

May 10 - 12:45 p.m.

Readings from City Works 2016, the journal dedicated to writing, artwork, and photography created and compiled by San Diego City College students and faculty. The event will be at Black Box Theater (AH-320), is free and open to the public.
