Workshops on Men of Color: Experiences, Outcomes and Recommendations

Over the past year, San Diego Mesa College has partnered with San Diego State University's Minority Male Community College Collaborative (M2C3) to assess the experiences and outcomes of men of color enrolled at Mesa College. 

The following workshops, presented by Drs. J. Luke Wood and Frank Harris III, M2C3 co-directors, highlight findings and recommendations. 

2:30 - 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 23

Drs. J. Luke Wood and Frank Harris III will present findings from a series of interviews that were conducted with Mesa College faculty members. Recommendations for building faculty members' capacities to serve men of color at Mesa College will be presented. 14-213 (second floor of the Student Services Center), Flex #86031.

1:30 - 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14

Drs. J. Luke Wood and Frank Harris III will present findings from a series of focus groups and comprehensive quantitative needs assessment with Mesa College men of color. Recommendations for building institutional capacity to serve men of color at Mesa will be presented. 14-408 (ASG Conference Room - Fourth floor of the Student Services Center) Flex #86032.
