Cosmetology students giving free haircuts, manicures at the fair

Several dozen San Diego City College cosmetology students will be providing free haircuts and manicures at the San Diego County Fair on Friday, June 21, 2019. The services enable sosmetology students to secure the practical hours required to secure state board certification.
Approximately 60 cosmetology students will be on hand from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Showcase Area. The Student Showcase Area features student projects from San Diego County schools, colleges, and adult education programs.
Student outreach staff will also be on hand to offer information on San Diego City, Mesa and Miramar colleges.
The Student Showcase Area is on the first floor of the West Grandstand.
