Fourth annual Festival of New Plays at City College

Now in its fourth year, the 2019 Festival of New Plays will mark the appearance of several world premieres written by a diverse group of students on varying themes and subjects from San Diego City College’s Drama Program.
Committed to exercising the craft of playwriting through process and production, the festival has been lauded by educators and professionals in the theatre community. Free Thursday student matinees will be held at 2 p.m. March 7 and at 4 p.m. March 14 at City College's Black Box Theatre. The Festival of New Plays will be staged at 7:30 p.m. on March 8, 9, 15, and 16; admission is $10-$15, also at the Black Box Theatre.
The Saville Theatre will stage "Heathers The Musical" at 8 p.m. on April 12,13, 19, and 20. Afternoon shows will be held at 2 p.m. on April 12 and 14. Admission is $10-$15.
The Black Box Theatre is on the northwest side of the AH Building (AH-320), near the intersections of C and 15th Streets, directly east of the Saville Theatre. Parking is available in Lots 8 and 5, adjacent to the Saville Theatre, off C Street.
