With approximately 100,000 visitors a month on sdccd.edu, its news site strives to provide faculty, staff, students, and the San Diego community with the latest news and events happening in our district.  SDCCD's online news is supplemented with a bi-weekly e-newsletter with highlighted stories. NewsCenter also features a variety of share tools – which make it easy for visitors to share stories via email and social media.

Char O'Connor, SDCCD’s Digital Communications Specialist, says district employees are encouraged to submit news, announcements, and other story ideas. “Our faculty and staff have much to be proud of,” said Cook. “They are so committed to student success and enriching the college experience. We want to share their stories with the community.”

Employees and students can submit story ideas through their campus information office, or by emailing coconnor@sdccd.edu. SDCCD NewsCenter is a service of the district’s Communications and Public Relations Office. It was developed in partnership with SDCCD Information Technology.
