San Diego City College will hold its 2023 Commencement ceremony at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park.

To Order Cap & Gown Regalia
- The City College bookstore has made a preliminary order to ensure they are able to supply caps and gowns to the student for Commencement 2023.
- Students can purchase regalia via the San Diego City Bookstore website or in person starting mid-April 2023.
- Regalia is: $32.95 without tax (includes: cap, gown, and tassel). Stoles/graduation sashes retail for $44.65 without tax.
- This is also the time to submit any custom Sash/stole request. Please send request to smadrid@sdccd.edu.

You may view your graduation status by logging into mySDCCD and going to the My Academics section, located on the left-hand side of your student portal.
Graduation Deadlines
Graduation is not automatic upon completion of requirements.
- Feb 15, 2023 - Deadline to apply for Graduation for students completing an Associate Degree for Transfer and transferring to a CSU in Fall 2023
- March 15, 2023 - Deadline to apply for Graduation and ensure that your name appears in the official commencement program.
- April 30, 2023 - Deadline to apply for Graduation for students completing an associate degree in Spring 2023.
