October 2022, CyberSecurity Awareness Schedule
The United States Federal government and Congress have declared October Cybersecurity Awareness Month, helping individuals and institutions protect themselves online as threats to technology and confidential data continue to rise.
Things We Can Do
Throughout October, SDCCD Information Technology Services will highlight key action steps that everyone should adopt:
- Protecting yourself from identity theft
- Enable Multi-Factor Authentication
- Use Strong Passwords
- Recognize and Report Phishing
How to Participate?
Join us for various activities and learning opportunities throughout October to learn cyber basics. There will also be a series of on-campus presentations to learn more. We encourage you to attend and learn more about SDCCD's inaugural Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
