Faculty Leadership Development Academy

This Faculty Leadership Development Academy (FLDA), which includes the component of the Faculty Training Intensive (FTI) is offered to all faculty who have a professional goal to accept a leadership role among SDCCD faculty or to seek a management or supervisory leadership position.  Curriculum introduces organizational management skills, enhanced leadership development training, multiple resources, and detailed insight to leadership within SDCCD. Additional training is available in the form of elective topic workshops, coaches/mentors, experiential assignments, peer-networking, and recommended reading.

A total of seven half-day modules are scheduled during the semester and are facilitated by leadership development professionals. The academy is supplemented by a two-day Faculty Training Intensive seminar which provides a high-level orientation to the role and responsibilities of District leaders in key subject areas. The Academy includes a total of 49 hours of training.
