Supervisory Leadership Development Academy

The Supervisory Leadership Development Academy (SLDA) provides training for new and current Supervisors who have a professional goal to advance in their current position or promote to a higher-level supervisory position, as well as non-supervisory Lead employees who have a professional goal to advance into a Supervisory position. Curriculum consists of a combination of supervisory-level leadership development, personnel management, and team coordination skills training. Additional training is available in the form of elective topic workshops, mentors, job shadowing, online tutorial training, peer networking and recommended reading.

Half-day modules will be scheduled monthly for a total of eight during the semester and are facilitated by leadership development professionals. An additional Supervisory Training Intensive (STI) will occur during two, full days as part of this Academy. The STI will provide specific insight and orientation to the role and responsibilities of District Supervisors and operations and is presented by experienced district supervisors and managers. The Academy includes a total of 51 hours of training.
