The episode focused on the SDCCD, which will air seven times between July 18 and August 10, features programs and resources of particular interest to students of all ages, including:
City College Outreach Ambassador Maximus Gastelum explains how the college lives up to its “You Belong Here” slogan. The segment also highlights the San Diego Promise, Knight’s Table, athletics, and the college’s new bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security and Analysis.
Mesa College Associate Professor Eddie Landeros talks about how the college’s Small Business Virtual Incubator supports small business owners. Along the way viewers will meet former students Kussy Mackenzie, founder of Domestic Phoenix, and Ena Walters, owner of One Nine Five.
At Miramar College, the focus is on fitness with Yoga Instructor Kelly Morewski talking about the Yoga fitness and Teacher Training Program and Professor of Exercise Sports Science Matthew Cain discusses the Personal Training Program.
College of Continuing Education President Tina M. King explains the importance of the historic Educational Cultural Complex to the community and how college’s seven campuses provide free career training programs. The episode also introduces welding students Andrea Jarvis and Keyera Ballard, as well as Instructor Brad Dorschel.
