Hello SDCCD Community,
At 10:08 a.m. on April 14, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred 3 miles south of the town of Julian, about 50 miles east of San Diego. At this time, no injuries have been reported among our employees or students and no significant structural damage has been identified at any of our colleges or district facilities. I hope that you and your families are safe and your personal properties were not impacted. If there has been damage to your property you need to leave work to address, please report it to your supervisor right away.
Our facilities professionals are conducting thorough reviews at each college and in our district buildings to ensure we quickly identify and address any damage that may have occurred. If you observe any damage or safety hazards, please report them to your supervisor as soon as possible.
At this time, all campuses, buildings, and operations are open and should continue as normal.
Thank you,
Greg
