14th Annual HUBU Conference

The annual HUBU conference exposes students to personal and academic resources available to them to help support their academic success. 

San Diego City College will host the 14th annual Hermanos Unidos, Brothers United (HUBU) Conference on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 with the aim to enhance the academic, social and cultural experiences of men of color and other California community college students. 

This year’s theme, We Rise Together: Building Bridges Through Resistance and Organizing, invites us to learn about the power of resistance, the impact of community organizing, and the strength of our collective voice!
 
Pillars of the Community will deliver a powerful message on the importance of organized resistance and community organizing. Events will be held on the A Building Patio at City College.

  • 12:35 p.m. - Lunch (tacos and sambusa)
  • 12:35 p.m. - Games and Resource Fair
