As part of the observance, SDCCD will proudly raise the Kumeyaay flag, recognizing that its campuses are located on the ancestral lands of the Kumeyaay nation and celebrating the enduring culture and contributions of the Kumeyaay people. Raising and displaying the flag symbolizes the district’s ongoing commitment to its Indigenous communities and the Kumeyaay people.
