
Wilker has been serving as acting associate vice chancellor for nearly four years, demonstrating her deep commitment to collaborative employee relations. Before her work in employee relations, she held positions in Payroll, Employment, and HR Systems, which gave her a comprehensive insight into Human Relations and the district’s operations.
She was selected as the district’s inaugural manager of Employee Engagement and Experience, in which she was responsible for leading the formation and implementation of the district’s new onboarding process for new employees.
“Rachel’s broad background, strategic perspective, and dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture make her a valuable addition to the SDCCD’s leadership team,” said Jared Burns, vice chancellor of People, Culture and Technology Services.
Wilker has a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach and a master’s degree from San José State University. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Capella University.
