Invest In The San Diego Promise

San Diego Promise Information For Students

Since 2016, our donors have raised nearly $3 million dollars to support San Diego Community College District students in the San Diego Promise program. The San Diego Promise offers up to two years of free tuition, along with health fees, access to peer mentors, student success coaches and academic counselors. The program is open to recent high school graduates planning to attend San Diego City, Mesa or Miramar colleges.

Due to the generosity of our donors, The Promise has evolved into a more diverse program to support a wider range of student groups such as foster youth, veterans, justice involved, undocumented, LGBTQIA+, part-time students, adult learners seeking to continue their education, and returning SDCCD students who meet certain criteria. Students with financial need are also eligible for additional book grants and instructional supplies.

Thank you donors for helping bring the academic goals of more than 6,000 students within reach.
