What is Microsoft Office?
Microsoft Office 365 (O365) is a modern collaboration platform that provides a full-featured email system with web access, integrated calendaring, District and campus contacts directory, support for mobile device access, and 10 gigabytes of email storage and 1 terabyte of document storage per account.
Features
- Convenient web and desktop access to your SDCCD email and integrated calendar. Full-featured web interface for accessing email and calendar (Outlook Web App) and email and integrated calendar compatibility with desktop email clients such as Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail.
- Large message storage capacity. 10 gigabytes of email storage for each user.
- Access from portable devices, including iOS and Android-based phones and tablets. Access your email, calendar entries, and contacts from your mobile device.
- Built-in anti-spam message filtering. We have integrated anti-spam tools for smoother control of email filtering and identification.
OneDrive is an online document storage and sharing tool that faculty and staff can access through the Outlook Web App (OWA). - 1 terabyte of document storage for each user.
Who Can use it?
All current faculty and students have access to full Microsoft Office suite.
The San Diego Community College District is using Microsoft 365 to provide students with email, document storage and access to the Microsoft Office 365 software suite.
Students will receive a "student.sdccd.edu" email account upon registration which allows them to:
- Receive official emails from the San Diego Community College District
- Use applications in the Microsoft 365 suite for Students such as Word, Excel and OneDrive with 1 TB storage.
Getting access to student email and Microsoft 365 is as easy as 1-2-3:
- Enroll in classes at San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar and/or College of Continuing Education
- Within a day you will receive an email inviting you to setup your M365/Student Email account
- Login using your mySDCCD password and then setup your Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

The SDCCD myApps gateway provides students and staff with a single gateway to access a growing list of applications. Using your sdccd .edu email address you'll be able to login and access a range of applications including:
- Outlook (Student and Employee Emails)
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- OneNote
- OneDrive
