In the latest edition of With Excellence magazine, learn more about Gregory Smith, the District’s new chancellor who, after being acting chancellor for the past year, began his permanent role on February 1. Find out what motivates him, what vision he has for the future of the SDCCD, and what he enjoys doing in his spare time.

Building Confidence: Students often need extra help to succeed in their classes at San Diego Community College District colleges. Tutoring services at San Diego City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges help students connect the dots to academic success. At San Diego College of Continuing Education, a new faculty coordinator is being hired to launch this fall a tutoring center at the Educational Cultural Complex.

Growth Opportunities: Whether it’s learning how to launch a business or grow an existing small business, the San Diego Community College District has it covered with programs that support students’ entrepreneurial dreams and small businesses, while also helping to boost the local economy. 
Creating Classrooms of the Future: A November bond measure would upgrade, modernize, and repair District facilities and campuses.
