The San Diego Community College District is thrilled to announce the return of Keeping the Promise, a giving day in support of the free-tuition San Diego Promise program. For 24 hours on October 29, 2024, San Diego Community College District faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and community members will come together to make a difference.

This year's theme Imagine reflects on students being able to turn what they imagine their future could be into a reality thanks in no small part to support from the San Diego Promise. The program allows students to attend our credit colleges tuition-free, offers book grants, and thanks to public donations we have been able to extent the program to former foster youth, veterans, justice impacted students, former students returning to school after years in the workforce, and those students who cannot attend full-time due to family and work obligations. As a result, since 2016 the San Diego Community College District has offered free tuition to more than 6,000 students.

We hope you'll join us October 29 in supporting the San Diego Promise.
