Miramar College's Aeronautics and Aviation Program with its two divisions is the only low-tuition, FAA-approved aviation maintenance and pilot schools in the region.

The San Diego Community College District encourages learners from high school to retirement age to enroll now for the fall semester at San Diego City, San Diego Mesa, San Diego Miramar, and Continuing Education colleges. From culinary arts and hospitality at College of Continuing Education to nursing at City, fashion at Mesa, and aeronautics and aviation at Miramar, the SDCCD has something for everyone.

Upon successful completion of Nursing Assistant Training through College of Continuing Education, students can apply to take the state Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) examination.

SDCCD colleges are open to all. Fall semester classes at City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges begin August 25. Fall classes at College of Continuing Education begin three days later on August 28.

The SDCCD is the largest provider of higher education and workforce training in the county and is responsible for generating an estimated $5.8 billion in added income to the regional economy.

The cost of tuition at City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges is a fraction of the cost for a four-year college or university, and College of Continuing Education is completely free. Roughly half of students at the three credit colleges end up paying nothing at all thanks to a multitude of financial aid opportunities, including the San Diego Promise Program, which offers eligible students, plus military veterans, foster youth, returning students, and others up to two years of a tuition-free education, along with a bevy of support services.

The SDCCD is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where every student can be their true selves. Those looking for a guiding hand to help register or map out an educational plan can contact one of the college campus counseling offices for free sessions with trained academic guidance professionals or visit any of college websites for more information.
