Renewal Course

The Online Faculty Certification Program Renewal Course is for faculty who have already completed an online certificate program such as OFCP become familiar with the current legal and accreditation requirements along with the latest teaching strategies. This flexible, self-paced course keeps instructors current on online teaching trends, tools, and best practices, empowering success for both faculty and students.

Upon successful completion of the assessment, your Online Certification will reflect completion of the Renewal course, receive a digital badge, and you are eligible to earn FLEX credit.

Course Details

This course is fully online and self-paced, allowing you to work at your convenience anytime between July to May. Completing all required components will take about three hours. 

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

1. Identify key regulations, policies, and procedures related to distance education at institutional, state, and federal levels.

2. Evaluate and select appropriate technology tools that enhance online teaching and learning.

3. Identify and describe available support services for both faculty and students in a distance education environment.
