Parking Permit Display

Parking permits are required at all SDCCD locations, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Physical permits must be clearly visible, with date information placed up and unobstructed, in order to be valid.

Student Semester Parking Permits

  • Launching in Summer 2025, Virtual Student Semester Parking Permits will be available for purchase through campus solutions 
    • Credit Cards - Once launched, permits can be purchased online anytime through student campus solutions account using a credit card
    • Cash - Once launched, permits can be ordered online through student campus solutions and then cash payment can be made at a campus police office 
  • Campus Police Office locations:
    • City College, V-100
    • Mesa College, Q-100
    • Miramar College, T-100

Semester Permit Costs

  • Summer Semester Permit - $29 automobile
  • Fall & Spring Semester Permit - $40 automobile
  • Motorcycle Semester Permit - $17.50 semester
  • Carpool Semester Permit - $30 automobile

Financial Aid/Reduced Fee Permit Costs

  • Reduced fee permits - $25/semester
  • Students must apply for financial aid to determine eligibility for a reduced fee permit

CE Student Parking Permits

  • Launching in Summer 2025, Virtual Student Semester Parking Permits will be available for purchase through campus solutions 
    • Credit Cards - Once launched, permits can be purchased online anytime through student campus solutions account using a credit card
    • Cash - Once launched, permits can be ordered online through student campus solutions and then cash payment can be made using the cash permit machines at each CE campus. Receipt must be turned into the CE business office as proof of payment for permit.

Financial Aid/Reduced Fee Permit Costs

  • Students must show proof of eligibility at CE business office to apply for a reduced fee permit

Faculty/Staff Parking Permits

SDCCD Faculty/Staff parking are obtained through MySDCCD portal under the employee self-service section. 

Daily Permit Costs

  • Cost $1.00/hour, up to $5.00/day maximum
  • Purchase with a credit card online using the ParkMobile app
    • ParkMobile signs with instructions are available in all student lots and on permit machines
  • Purchase with cash from permit machines located in most student parking lots
    • Insert exact amount only
      • permit machines do not give change
      • refunds are not given for overpayment
    • Bills only, permit machines do not accept coins

Permit Machine Locations

  • City College
    • V-Building Parking Structure (PS100) - Levels 2, 5, & 6
    • MS-Building Parking Structure (PS200) - Levels 3, 5, & 7
    • Garfield Parking Structure (Lot 3) - Top (3rd) Level
  • Mesa College
    • Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 and on each floor of the parking structure near the elevators
  • Miramar College
    • Main entrance of Black Mountain Road (Miramar College Drive)
    • Lots 1 & 2 and each floor of the parking structure near the elevators
  • Permit machines are also located at all Continuing Education sites.

Individual Guest Permits

  • Virtual permits for guests visiting campus may be requested by sending the following information to parking@sdccd.edu:
    • Guest name
    • Purpose of visit
    • Date of visit
    • Start and end time of visit
    • Campus visiting
  • Permit requests are processed in order received. Please plan ahead, we recommend requesting at least a week in advance.

Guest Permits for Same Day

  • Please contact the campus police office as soon as possible to request a physical hanger-tag type permit for your guest.
  • Please provide them with the following information:
    • Guest name
    • Purpose of visit
    • Date of visit
  • For same-day guest permits, guests will need to stop by campus police when they arrive on campus to pick up a physical permit for the day. 
    • Visitor spaces are located at campus police offices to allow visitors to park while obtaining a permit to use on campus
    • After receiving their permit, guests can display the permit to park in any regular staff or student space on campus

Group Permits

  • Virtual permits for up to 10 guests visiting campus may be requested by sending the following information to parking@sdccd.edu:
    • Event Name (will be visible to parkers)
    • Host Organization / Group
    • Requestor's first and last name
    • Requestor's email
    • Date of event
    • Start and end time of event
    • Room/campus location where event is being held
    • Campus name
    • Number of expected guests / permits needed
    • Special instructions or files to attach to the event invitation
    • Budget number for purchased event permits (when applicable)
  • Permit requests are processed in order received. Please plan ahead, we recommend requesting at least a week in advance.
  • Permit requests may be routed through campus administration for approval

Parking Permits for large Campus events

  • Virtual permits for more than 10 guests visiting campus may be requested by sending the following information to parking@sdccd.edu:
    • Event Name (will be visible to parkers)
    • Host Organization / Group
    • Requestor's first and last name
    • Requestor's email
    • Date of event
    • Start and end time of event
    • Room/campus location where event is being held
    • Campus name
    • Number of expected guests / permits needed
    • Special instructions or files to attach to the event invitation
    • Budget number for purchased event permits (when applicable)
  • Please plan ahead, we recommend requesting as early as possible.
  • A QR code and link will be provided to attach to flyers/websites/emailed information that parkers will visit to obtain permits.
  • Permit requests must be routed through campus administration for approval
