Intersession and spring semesters at the San Diego Community College District are just around the corner for those interested in enrolling in classes at San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar, and Continuing Education colleges.

At the credit colleges, City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges, priority registration is open now for current students, members of the military, those living with a disability, and others. Open registration for new students begins December 5. Intersession classes begin January 2, and the spring semester begins January 29.

The SDCCD also is accepting applications for the 2024-25 academic year for the San Diego Promise program, which offers free tuition and fees for eligible students at City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges.

Additionally, hundreds of free career training classes begin January 31 for the spring semester at College of Continuing Education.

The SDCCD offers more than 4,000 courses in programs ranging from accounting to yoga teacher training. Students have flexibility in choosing online or in-person classes, along with eight-week classes that offer a way to earn quick college credit. With a recent surge in enrollment at the district’s colleges, students are encouraged to enroll early to ensure they will have a seat in the classes they want.

In addition to classes, all of the colleges offer a variety of support services, including educational and career planning, academic counseling, health services, and childcare. At $46 per unit, California community colleges offer an affordable way to earn a college degree; financial aid and scholarships opportunities are also available to help pay for enrollment fees and materials for qualified students.

Students can view the online class schedule to find courses. Prospective students can apply online at sdccd.edu/apply. Spring semester classes conclude on May 25 for the credit colleges and June 8 for College of Continuing Education.
