Welcome to the San Diego Community College District

Before you can register for classes, you must complete your CCCStart Journey to San Diego City, Mesa or Miramar College or the San Diego College of Continuing Education. Completing the online journey is easy and free. (Click here for step by step instructions.)

Right below you will see links to all four college journeys. Students who submit an application for City, Mesa or Miramar College may attend classes at all three colleges.  Non-Credit students may attend classes at any of the seven College of Continuing Education campuses.

You will receive an email confirmation when your application is processed. For more information about this process, please visit our admissions page.

Please note, if you recently submitted a college journey application, you do not need to submit again. For instructions on how to use CCCStart, please refer to our online tutorial by clicking here.

IMPORTANT: Students who have an in-progress cCCApply applicaiton will need to submit a new journey through cCCStart.

Who Can Start their Educational journey?

• Students who possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) or Over the age of 18.

• High School students looking to earn college credit while they obtain their high school diploma.  For more information on concurrent enrollment/CCAP, please visit our High School Information Page.

• Returning or transfer students who have not enrolled in classes at San Diego City, Mesa or Miramar College, or College of Continuing Education within the last three consecutive semesters.

• International students seeking an I-20 or F1 Visa status should go to the one of the following International Student links for more information: City College, Mesa College or Miramar College.

Required: ID.me or DMV Verification

California Community Colleges uses ID.me and myDMV to help protect student identities and prevent fraudulent students from taking spots in classes at SDCCD.

Acceptable Documents for Identity Verification:

For us to verify your identity, you must provide two documents:

1. One Photo Identification - For example: Government issued identification (ID) card, Driver license, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, or Employment Authorization Document
2. One Identity Document - Employment record (e.g. paystub), address verification (Any bill or financial statement showing your name and residence address), or Official birth certificate (with official translation, if any)

ID.me is the fastest and quickest option to verify your identity, so we highly encourage all students to use this expedited process.

Recruitment of Service Members:

Per AP 5013 - Students in the Military and in compliance with paragraph 3.j.(3) of the Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Department of Defense, San Diego City College, San Diego Mesa College and San Diego Miramar College and the San Diego College of Continuing Education prohibits high-pressure recruitment tactics such as multiple unsolicited contacts (3 or more), including contacts by phone, email, or in-person, and engaging in same-day recruitment and registration for the purpose of securing Service member enrollments.
