Measure HH Student Advisory Council (SAC)
Apply to help shape what’s next at SDCCD
The San Diego Community College District is seeking 16 current or incoming students to serve on a new Measure HH Student Advisory Council.
The Council will advise Vice Chancellor Joel Peterson on student priorities, needs, and perspectives related to Measure HH, the District’s $3.5 billion capital improvement program.
This is an opportunity for students to provide meaningful input on campus upgrades and replacement projects that will directly affect student life, learning environments, and campus experience.
Who Can Apply
Students must be:
- Enrolled in the current semester or
- Have applied and plan to enroll in the upcoming semester
All colleges, majors, and backgrounds are welcome.
What Council Members Will Do
Council members will:
- Share student perspectives on planned campus upgrades and improvements
- Provide feedback on which projects will have the greatest positive impact
- Participate in thoughtful discussions about student priorities and needs
- Meet monthly during the academic year
The meeting calendar will be developed collaboratively, with respect for student schedules and work commitments.
Application Requirements
The application includes:
- Basic student information (name, student ID, college affiliation, major)
- Two short-answer responses (200 words or fewer each):
- Why are you interested in serving on the Student Advisory Council?
- What experiences, skills, or perspectives would you bring?
- A question about which planned upgrades/replacement projects you believe will most benefit students
- Confirmation of enrollment and availability
