Student Email, Canvas and MFA

San Diego Community College District uses Microsoft365 to provide students access to student email, Microsoft Office 365, and a secure way to sign in.  Students will be required to setup their MFA in order to access Canvas and student email.

Financial Aid

With the lowest tuition fees in the nation at $46 per unit the San Diego Community College District is a great affordable way to get your higher education. The SDCCD provides millions of dollars in aid every year. Financial aid in the form of grants, work-study and low interest loans is available to those who qualify.

Counseling

Counseling offices offer a number of services to assist and facilitate academic, career and personal student growth. Our health centers offer mental health counseling as well. Appointments are available online and in person.

MyApps

The SDCCD  myApps gateway provides students with a single gateway to access a growing list of applications. Using your sdccd.edu email address you'll be able to login and access a range of applications including Outlook (student email), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and OneDrive.

Transcripts

Official transcripts can be ordered online or in person. The first two transcripts issued are free of charge. All subsequent orders are $5.00 per transcript. Unofficial transcripts for City, Mesa, and Miramar colleges can be viewed in Canvas. Official Transcripts can be ordered on Canvas or in-person at the District Office.College of Continuing Education students can order transcripts here.

Graduation and Transfer

Graduation is not automatic upon completion of requirements. The application for graduation is an online form, which is completed through your mySDCCD portal. Counselors are available to help you understand the application process. Contact your campus Counseling Department for assistance.

Honors

Honors classes are stimulating, engaging, and offer a greater level of depth while emphasizing student involvement, participation, and performance. Students can reach out to the faculty member teaching the course to discuss applying for honors. Students can apply for honors on mySDCCD.

Student Government

The Associated Students (AS) are the center of campus involvement, connection and service, to enrich the experience of the entire student body. Membership in the Associated Students allows you to support campus clubs and organizations, create campus-wide activities and events, and advocate for student issues on local, statewide and national levels.

San Diego Promise

San Diego Promise offers up to two years of free tuition, along with health fees, access to peer mentors, student success coaches and academic counselors. Students with financial need are eligible for additional book grants and instructional supplies.

Career Preparation

The Career Centers at San Diego City, Mesa and Miramar College offer a number of resources to assist students in career planning and employment. Resources include Career Information, Occupational and Interest Inventories, Resource Directories, Career Assessments, Job Listings, Resume and Cover Letter, Writing Assistance, Interview Preparations, Workshops, Job Fairs and more.
