Training for Online Students

On this page:

Welcome!

We are excited that you're joining us to get familiar with online learning at the San Diego Community College District. The resources and support below have been created to help get prepared for an online class.

Student Email and Microsoft 365

The San Diego Community College District is using Microsoft 365 to provide students with email, document storage and access to the Microsoft Office 365 software suite.

Students will receive a "student.sdccd.edu" email account upon registration which allows them to:

  • Receive official emails from the San Diego Community College District
  • Use applications in the Microsoft 365 suite for Students such as Word, Excel and OneDrive with 1 TB storage.

Getting access to student email and Microsoft 365 is as easy as 1-2-3:

  1. Enroll in classes at San Diego City, Mesa, Miramar and/or College of Continuing Education
  2. Within a day you will receive an email inviting you to setup your M365/Student Email account
  3. Login using your mySDCCD password and then setup your Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

Student email expectations

Starting June 28th, 2023, your student.sdccd.edu email will be the official form of communication for all campus business. Students are expected to check their official email address on a frequent and consistent basis in order to stay current with the College communications.
